BookMGT ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform and services.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, business name, and password. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment information is collected and processed securely by Stripe — we do not store your credit card details on our servers.

Business Data

Through your use of the Service, you may provide information about your business including services offered, staff members, business hours, and booking settings.

Customer Data

When your clients make bookings through the platform, we collect their name, email address, phone number (if provided), and booking details. You are the data controller for your customer data, and we process it on your behalf as a data processor.

Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, browser type, IP address, and device information. This data helps us improve the Service and troubleshoot issues.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
  • Process transactions and send related information (confirmations, invoices)
  • Send booking confirmations and reminders to your customers on your behalf
  • Respond to your requests, comments, and questions
  • Monitor and analyze usage trends to improve the Service
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and security threats
  • Send you updates about the Service, including feature announcements and policy changes

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We share data with third-party providers who help us operate the Service (e.g., Stripe for payment processing, email delivery services). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
  • With Your Consent: We may share information for any other purpose with your explicit consent.

4. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), secure password hashing, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. After account termination, we retain your data for up to 30 days to allow for data export, after which it is permanently deleted. We may retain certain anonymized, aggregated data for analytics purposes.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data
  • Export: Request a portable copy of your data
  • Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time

To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@bookmgt.com.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies to operate the Service (session management, authentication). We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. Essential cookies cannot be disabled as they are necessary for the Service to function.

8. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

11. California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, request deletion of your personal information, and opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell personal information.
